Statement of Accomplishments

As a Strategic Communication student at Governors State University, I have earned a place on the Dean’s List for my academic performance and was accepted into the National Honor Society. Throughout my coursework, I have strengthened my writing, research, and strategic communication skills, which has supported my success in both academic and professional settings. I completed a Retail & Merchandising internship at The Bridge Thrift Store in Orland Park, Illinois, where I gained hands-on experience in visual merchandising, customer service, and promotional communication. Following my internship, I was invited to join the organization as a Floor Lead at their new Frankfort location, The Bridge Thrift Home & Restoration. In this role, I support daily operations, help coordinate store displays, assist with donation flow, and contribute to creating a positive and engaging shopping experience. These accomplishments reflect my commitment to academic performance, professional growth, and my long-term goal of building a career in strategic communication, retail marketing, and visual merchandising
